Biography

Patrice Miles, assistant dean of business operations, works closely with Professional Education's executive team to align the division's strategic business objectives for our academic programs, while creating and sustaining effective processes to support superior customer service. She oversees and manages the business/finance, communications, IT, marketing, operations, and space rental sales departments. She also collaborates with campus leaders and faculty members to cultivate successful working relationships, and develops new business models that impact growth for Professional Education.

Prior to her role as assistant dean, Miles served as the director of marketing and sales for Professional Education from 2007-2012. She was responsible for developing and executing brand and marketing strategies for non-credit and credit programs, and directing Georgia Tech Global Learning Center sales. This included internal and external communications; marketing to support our academic offerings; website strategy and development; market research; and meeting space sales consultation.

Prior to joining Tech, Miles had a successful 20+ year career at Delta Air Lines as a corporate officer of the company. She most recently was the vice president of consumer marketing where she led a global team of more than 150 personnel. At Delta, Miles oversaw worldwide brand management, global advertising and marketing efforts, customer research and analytics, and the SkyMiles frequent flyer program – one of corporate America’s largest loyalty programs. She also initiated Delta’s first product development department to identify and prioritize all customer-facing product, service and technology initiatives.

Miles graduated with a B.A. from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville with additional course work at Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, Virginia. She also participated in a semester study abroad program in London, England.
