In January, we welcomed the first cohorts of the cybersecurity and user design boot camps. In FY19, 695 adult learners graduated from our boot camp programs, with an additional 484 in active cohorts. Offered nights and weekends in Atlanta, Savannah, and Peachtree Corners, boot camps provide working professionals hands-on training to master specialized skills needed transition into a tech career.

English for Business

The Georgia Tech Language Institute surpassed 500,000 enrollments in its five MOOCs this summer. The courses, which are available on the Coursera platform, focus on an area of English communication specifically for successful business interactions. In addition to offering the highly popular online courses, the Language Institute also continues to offer an array of traditional programs to meet the Institute's international student and scholar needs and to support its role as a global campus.

First Cohort of Excel Program

Seven students graduated in May as part of the first cohort of Excel, a postsecondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Offered by the Scheller College of Business and administered by GTPE, the program exposes students to traditional subjects such as math and science as well as life skills such as interpersonal communication. The GLC Sales Team also employed a student intern from the program as part of extended learning outside of the classroom.

New Certificate in Savannah

The Procurement and Supply Management Leadership Certificate was offered at Georgia Tech-Savannah for the first time this March and included learners from the U.S., Germany, and Honduras. Designed to help procurement and business professionals in the global sourcing environment, participants develop critical skills in negotiation philosophies and executive communication. It is the only certificate program to be held in both Atlanta and Savannah.
